This coming Saturday 21st September, the narrow cobbled backstreets of Palma´s old town come alive with one of the most important events of the year, the “Nit de l’Art”.

While there will be ongoing events on the 19th and 20th September, the official event will take place on the evening of the 21st.

Celebrating its 23rd year and welcoming contemporary artists from all over the island and abroad who come here to showcase their creative works.

You’ll find an ambitious schedule of events happening throughout the city during the whole weekend: from art & theatre performances, live music and showcases with drinks and traditional tapas offered on every corner. There will be exhibitions spread throughout the city however most will congregate around the quaint streets near “Calle San Feliu” where the art galleries all come together in beautiful Mallorcan buildings, which are a sight to see just on their own!

To help you discover the program and activities happening during the event, the Palma Art Contemporani Association have organized tours, conferences and cultural programs in different languages. You can pick up flyers and calendars in tourist offices as well as in the art galleries themselves.

The objective of Nit de l’Art is to place Palma on the map as a key point in the international art scene, attracting artists from all over the world. But you don’t need to be an art lover to appreciate this very special event. The galleries open their doors at 17h on Saturday and will remain open until midnight.

As huge art lovers ourselves, our Bconnected Team will be one of the first there!
