Coastal hot spots in Mallorca

Architecture Art Bconnectedmallorca Exclusive Interior Design Investment Real Estate Secret Marketing

It is that time of year, we are flocking to the coast of the island to feel the sea breeze and capture the beauty of the sun reflecting on the water as we dig into our seafood paellas. There are many gorgeous go-to spots in Mallorca for beach dining that are ever so more appealing thanks to their unique designs.

Ponderosa Beach

Up in the North of the island you get a particular kind of sea breeze, it is usually slightly more windy which is why the wind and kite surfers tend to flock up here. On the large stretch of sand of Playa del Muro there are a few Mediterranean restaurants, Ponderosa Beach is the ideal location to eat a delicious paella dish with your feet in the sand, enjoy a fresh mojito overlooking the bay of Alcudia whilst listening to the sound of the waves. Its design highlights the beauty of the shoreside, with white wood and multi-colored shutters as decor, the dining experience however is very relaxed.

Na Foradada

A hidden spot, embedded in the rocks underneath the well-known lookout point in Deia. With views out to sea and the Sa Foradada cliff top, this restaurant is one you cannot miss if you want to feel like you’re in a faraway paradise island in the middle of nowhere. Perched on the edge of the cliff, mainly accessible by boat but a 40-minute hike down the hill if you want to go by car. Its design is a simple one, an open-wood like shack perched on the edge of the rocks with nothing but the sea breeze flooding through each table whilst you dine.

Il Chiringo

Nothing beats the beach location that this restaurant has, the entire restaurant is located on the sand. It’s nothing fancy but pure Mediterranean style, with bougainvillea covering its terraces. Located on Palmanova’s white sandy bay that looks out across to Palma in the distance. The owners themselves will be there to greet and serve you a pure Mediterranean meal of a mix between Italian and Spanish.

Mhares Sea Club

This spectacular location is around 20 minutes from Palma, near to Cala Blava. As you drive down to reach the coast you are presented by this picturesque sea view that overlooks the entire bay of the South end of the island. Mhares offers some of the best sunset spots on the island especially in the summertime when they have their evening DJ and Sunday gatherings around the pool. A great location to either enjoy a meal, grab a sunbed all day or enjoy a nice cocktail whilst watching the sun set over the ocean.

UM Beachclub

One of our top coastal locations, particularly for its unique design is UM beach club in Portals Nous. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, designed in a bohemian style, offering warmth and depth. Warm oak wood is the trend throughout the whole venue, you’ll also have the most flavourful dish you have had in a long time with their selection of tapas with a twist.
