The market is buzzing and there is constant movement. There are so many idyllic places to invest in the island in the next few years. Here are a few of our top choices.

Palma’s old town is always improving. With more culture moving in comes more variety of restaurants, art galleries, and designer boutique stores which ultimately increases the appeal for living in this beautiful city.

Borne / Calatrava

You can find various properties in or around Palma whether you’re looking for a stunning sea view penthouse or a traditional style apartment in the quaint backstreets. The center, particularly around the areas of La Calatrava, La Lonja, and El Borne, includes some very beautiful, old-style apartments. At the coast of Palma, you’ll find Portixol, a quaint fisherman’s port which is an investor’s point in recent years, with the development of their new marina and boulevard.

Portixol / Son Vida

Families too will choose the center, but due to lack of outdoor space, most prefer to live on the outskirts with a garden or pool. A short drive from Palma on the outskirts you’ll find Son Vida, a hub of luxury homes that a highly sought after due to their closeness to the city, coast & international schools, and the Son Vida Golf Course as well as the views it has at the top of the hill overlooking the city lights.  The island’s top architects work in this area and usually carry-out modern and contemporary designs. The South West is always a good spot for an investment or home. Close to all the best beaches and local towns such as Portals & Santa Ponsa. This area is always popular with foreigners who come to the island who don’t want to stray too far from the city or airport but like to be close to the sea.

Portals Nous / Santa Ponça

Sol de Mallorca is catching our eye at the moment for investing purposes. Architects and developers have recently moved into the area creating luxury, modern coastal-style homes as the community which you can only access by one entry road are surrounded by some of the most beautiful bays of the south coast. It is located just around the coast of Santa Ponsa. In recent years it has seen numerous new builds since it has good-sized flat plots close to the sea. It promotes a relaxed and quality lifestyle.

Up the west coast is one of the top areas for investing. Soller is becoming more and more sought after. The mountainous but coastal vibe is quite the appeal to those who are happy to be a half-hour drive away from Palma. You have the traditional beauty in Soller town where you can find your local market & friendly local & foreign neighbors. Steps away from scenic hikes and with the Port of Soller at your doorstep with all the various restaurants and front-line café’s. Why would you not want to invest in such a diverse area?

Deià

Down the coast a bit you’ll find Banyalbufar, a more discrete version of Deia & Valldemossa which is a UNESCO protected village which means it remains discrete and not overdeveloped. Located on a cliff front line to the sea, this mountainous town also has its own beach and waterfall.
