Over the last few years Mallorca has become a gastronomy hub and the restaurant scene is booming, there is so much choice between different cuisines that it is hard to know where to try first! That is why we have put together 5 of our top favourite restaurants on the island that we really recommend you try, or, you’ll be missing out!

A restaurant out in the centre of Mallorca in a town called Llubí, somewhere you wouldn’t necessarily visit unless for a particular reason, such as dining at Brut Restaurant. A special combination of beer tasting with a fresh food concept that has been sourced locally and is chosen depending on the season. Brut particularly use small local producers on the island to keep it sustainable which is one of the many reasons that they are one of our top 5 choices, the other main reason being the quality of their dishes and the way their ingredients are transformed into something extraordinary using ancestral techniques with a contemporary twist. A unique experience offering solely a tasting menu, which we highly recommend!

Dins

The renowned chef, Santi Taura created Dins in 2003, a one of a kind restaurant, situated between the cobbled backstreets behind Palma Cathedral. Taking you on a gastronomic journey of the senses, influenced by Mallorca’s history, culture and local island produce. You have the option to dine at your private table or have the special experience of dining at the bar watching the culinary show take place with Santi Taura himself which is a quite a spectacle. Offering two different options of a tasting menus. The number one goal for this dining experience is for guests to feel present, without forgetting the historical roots of where the food and recipes originate from. A wondrous sensation not to be missed!

In 2018 a special type of tapas concept has placed itself on the map in the culinary area of Santa Catalina. In a more casual setting, chef Joel Baeza offers a young, fresh concept that distinguishes itself from the traditional tapas bars. Along with all the traditional dishes you will find more “worldly” options that have taken classic recipes from Peru and Mexico and incorporated a modern twist that feeds all your senses and gives you an explosion of tastes. Ideal for those looking for a sharing platter concept and an elaborate menu with a Michelin star chef’s personal touch. Baeza has been “stagier” (hence the name) of some of the best restaurants in the world such as Pujol, Azurmendi, El Bulli and Celler de Can Roca.
